
Pastor Kalvin Burkley
"And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge
and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15
Rev. Dr. Kalvin G. Burkley is a native of the Waco/Central Texas area. He is the third child of Pastor Kevin and Doris Burkley. Dr. Burkley was called to preach The Gospel at the early age of thirteen years old. Pastor Burkley received a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from DeVry University in October 2000. In December 2009, he received his Master's Degree in Elementary Education and in December 2014 he received an additional Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University, at Commerce. In August 2023 Pastor Burkley received a Doctorate Degree in Organizational Leadership from Southeastern University, Lakeland, Florida.
On September 7, 2005, Reverend Kalvin G. Burkley was chosen to lead the Forest Missionary Baptist Church into its next era. He has a heart for the will of God, the restoration and healing of hurting humanity and saving lost souls. Driven with this spirit in mind, Dr. Burkley possesses compassion for the congregation, sympathy for the sinner, tenderness for the traveler, affection for the afflicted, and a caring concern for the spiritual captive. With his voice, Dr. Burkley preaches and teaches the life-changing Word of God to empower the saints and sinners who enter our church. In his years of being Pastor, the Forest Avenue church has seen spiritual enhancements, financial enrichments, church edifice improvements, and ministry advancements thru the powerful Word of God. God has placed a unique and diverse vision within the heart of Dr. Burkley that is essential for the South Dallas area and beyond. With God, all things are truly possible to those who believe in the Lord.
In addition to being a Pastor, he is also an Administrator with the Plano Independent School District. He has been given the great opportunity to plant seeds in the lives of students for over twenty-four years. In addition to numerous pursuits, Pastor Burkley also leads his beautiful family. He has been married to his love for over twenty-four years, Elouise Brothers-Burkley.
They are the proud parents of two children, Kristian Noel and Khloe Elise.

Lady Elouise S. Burkley
Lady Elouise Burkley is the oldest of five children, of the Late Pastor Al C. Brothers and Rev. Corean Brothers. At a very early age, her parents began to pour into her spirit and teach her to reverence and respect God. Early in life, Lady Burkley began her ministry in music singing the choir and also directing the Cherub choir.
As Lady Burkley continued to grow both physically and spiritually, she served under her father at St. Jude Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Lady Burkley was led to move to Dallas, TX. Upon moving to Texas; she met, courted, and married the Rev. Kalvin G. Burkley. They both served in various ministries at Forest Avenue, under the leadership of Pastor R.N. McCray. In May of 2005, the Lord called Pastor McCray home, and God, in his infinite wisdom had pre- ordained that the youth pastor and the choir director would become the next Pastor and First Lady of Forest Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.
Currently, Lady Burkley serves in many facets at the Forest Avenue Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas. Lady Burkley counts it a privilege and an honor to serve and to use the gifts and talents that God has given her to help support the ongoing of building God’s kingdom. She is a firm believer that nothing just happens and that God has all called us to serve! God has blessed each one of us with some gift or talent, and regardless of our past, our present, or our position; God can and will use anyone that is willing to be used.
Lady Burkley, studied at the University of Oklahoma and received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Management from Texas A&M, Commerce. Additionally, Lady Burkley is the proud mother of Kristian Noel and Khloe Elise, and has been married to her love and Pastor, Rev., Dr. Kalvin G. Burkley for over twenty-four years.
